An E2EE Account ID, not just a login
When you create a Laxhar ID, your account provisions an end-to-end-encryption identity. Keys are derived on your device and never leave it in the clear.
Your key, wrapped by your password
A master key is generated on your device and encrypted with a key derived from your password. Your plaintext password is never sent to the encryption service.
The server only holds ciphertext
Laxhar stores your public key, encrypted key material, and irreversible hashes. It never stores your password-derived key, master seed, or recovery phrase in the clear.
One-time recovery phrase
If you forget your password, recover with your one-time recovery phrase. Recovery runs on your device and the server only ever sees a hash of it.
No escrow, no backdoor
There is no master key held by Laxhar. If you lose both your password and your recovery phrase, no one, including us, can recover your data.
